Someone has to Motivate You to Exercise
It is so easy to work out a regular exercise regimen on paper. You are in high spirits over your determined attitude and the novelty of beginning something new. For the first few days, you work out vigorously. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, you tend to lose interest, and finally, give up. This means that you have not been able to come up with a clear-cut rationale for your fitness goals; probably, you do not even know what your objectives are. Therefore, the best thing to do would be to seek the services of a qualified and trained personal fitness expert.
Obviously, you cannot hire just anybody you like; there are certain considerations that have to be borne in mind.
• Personality: There has to be mutual liking and understanding between both of you, if you are to get anywhere with your fitness program. Ask friends, neighbors, or colleagues for their recommendations. Additionally, browse the Internet for biographies of professional fitness trainers. Often, they upload videos of their workouts on You Tube, Vimeo, etc.
• Qualifications: Regardless of what the biographies proclaim, please do not hesitate to ask for certificates. They should have the signatures of well-known fitness associations on them. It helps if the individual has taken training in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) too. In case, your trainer has a diploma/degree related to health and fitness, it is an added bonus. You will be able to receive tips on dietary habits too. Then again, if references and testimonials regarding experiences can be provided, you will be able to gauge dependability and trustworthiness.
• Location and Schedule: Where would you like your daily training to take place? It could be your own home, a separate space at your place of work, a nearby park, or a gym. Your fitness trainer should be able to fit you into his/her schedule, especially if he/she has a busy schedule. Get clear answers regarding time of day, flexibility in scheduling, notifying in advance if required, and so on. Will this individual be able to travel to the chosen location every day?
• Equipment: You must reach a consensus regarding the kind of equipment you will need for your daily exercise regimen. However, this can be decided only after your selected trainer has been able to judge your level of competence in association with a specific program. It would be best to use your own stuff, unless you are practicing in a location with the desired equipment already in place.
If you are lucky enough to connect with a dedicated and committed physical fitness trainer, you may be sure that your motivation will never flag. Despite forcing you to adhere to your routines, he/she is bound to ensure that you view them as fun-filled activities rather than as heavy workouts. Oh, yes, do not forget to appraise your trainer of medical issues, if any. He/She will customize the exercise regimen to suit your health specifications. Maintaining a ‘daily progress’ journal should only add to your enjoyment.
